7th: The Catharsis of Haruhi Suzumiya
[So yesterday afternoon things went bad. Things went very bad just as soon as things were looking up. But... as soon as she shut the book, Haruhi found she wasn't mad anymore. She just had a good cry for a while and then settled in for doing nothing for the rest of the night. She even got to sleep early It's not so much that she wasn't upset as much as... she suddenly felt too tried to possible care about anything like that. Too tired to care about anything. So she slept and hung out at home and was so confused that she didn't know how to do anything. Housemates can jack in here if they feel like it But anyway, the point is...
She decided not to feel bad.
She ignored the sinking feeling she felt in her gut all the way to when she got up and started going through the motions the next morning. Motions which included dragging Winry out to the shops earlier. And presumably talking to her more before and/or after it. The point is, she fills up her morning with the other girl which... leads us to the afternoon.]

...SOS-Brigade! We didn't have one today and we won't have our customary Saturday lunch either, but starting next week, meetings are on again! Be sure to show up, and being late will result in a harsh penalty! No mistakes, got it?! The snow's been melting left and right already, and today is even hotter than all the other days so far, right?! So pretty soon it's going to be spring, and we've got lots of important things to do in spring! And for that matter, anyone else who has a mystery or something for us to deal with who who plans to in the future, drop us a line! You can't miss us!

But regardless Minato hasn't left the battle dome clinic since sometime last night. Some of the time, he's likely shared it with the girls. But he couldn't bring himself to leave, even at night, even when he'd been sedated and it was unlikely he'd wake up for at least another day. If he did wake up, and there was no one there?
No one needs to experience that.
This wasn't supposed to happen. Keiichi hadn't broken even on the battlefield. They'd argued and laughed together just that afternoon. He'd been fine. And now... he has to hope that when he wakes up again, he'll still be the Keiichi they want to see. They had medication this time - it wouldn't be like what happened to Rena last year. If he rests a while... He'll definitely be all right.
It's so quiet in the room an observer could likely hear the soft music coming from Minato's headphones. The only other sound is the breathing of the boy sleeping on the bed. That is - until the journal rings.
He wants to ignore it. It's from her, and that makes him want to ignore it more. But he can't dodge that subject forever. The more they run the worse it gets, and if she's willing to talk to him, maybe it's the best chance of things working out.
...Maybe she's already heard, and she's worried. So he picks up the book.]

[It's flat. Not upset, not exasperated, just completely emotionless. Maybe a bit tired.]
