26th: The Artistry of Haruhi Suzumiya

[Voice]

Okay Luceti, tell me! Maids, specifically dressing cute girls up at them: Fetish, or Art Form?

[...Yep.

That message goes up solo, and the rest of this trails maybe ten minutes later as an afterthought]

Also! If you guys saw that mega-birthday party the other day [here] or have involvement in Hydra Social [here] you've gotten a taste of what the Brigade can do for you. We also do consultations, so be sure to call on on, particularly if you can answer my earlier question correctly. [Particularly because, well... Valentines. She actually has two different plans for how to deal with it, she really needs to confer with Winry about which she'd prefer to see happen. But that reminds her...]

Hey Mikuru, do you want to sleep over tonight?

[EDIT: and then later that night she remembers something else, so she adds in]

Oh... right. Are there any people who know how to sail a ship who aren't otherwise occupied, willing to be hired out, and willing to head out into the water this time of year?

[If this wasn't clear already this post originated in an argument between Winry and Haruhi, so she might jack into various threads]

It is an art form. A most important form of expression and dress and one which is becoming a major export of my country.

Of course. Maids, maid cafes, maid cosplay, all such things are an art form meant to be embraced by the world. It is the concentration of all moe.

Moe is my largest export at the moment. The kawaii boom is boosting my economy more than technology and automobile exports, and so it is a thing that pains me to hear people call Maid a..a... [Sigh.] To hear people say it is not an art form.

It is a most unfortunate thing that there is no maid cafe here...But I am glad Haruhi-san agrees. It is encouraging.

Catgirls. Bunny suits. Cosplay cafes...

Haruhi-san, is it possible to do such an event with Haruhi-san's Brigade?
miniaturization: (let's get down to business!!)

"Simple is best," yes? A maid cafe. Five or six maids, three butlers, a cake set with assortment of teas or drinks, and a meal set with different options.

....And janken. Moe janken.

Yes. It is a staple of all good maid cafes.

....No...? Perhaps it is simply more popular here...

W-we aren't creeps... This is quite normal for us...

...

And other nations also enjoy it.

What's normal for one person could be weird for another! Just because it's popular doesn't make it art!

It is popular because it is art....! It is a cultural asset and one which is recognized even by my bosses!

He hopes not.

Oh god, he has no idea. This is terrible. He can't even recall if his current boss would even still be in power after two years. /sobbing

[Oh, hell no, you did not just diss moe. Winry. You may be a cute girl, but you have awakened the otaku spirit!!!!!]

That is what those who do not understand the intricacies of moe say. Not all can be enlightened in the way of moe or its various applications.
