32nd: The Gender of Haruhi Suzumiya

[So from Day 2 of this onward, Haruhi is now Haruki. This effect will last all week and possibly be stacked on top of other effects. You guys are free to come at him with whatever you want too, and I'll roll with it. Replies to this post are generally assumed to be Day 3 or later, and you and see Days 1 and 2 here

The scenarios used in this post do not have to be how you tag him on those given days, I'm trying to supply some ideas for people stumped as to how to do it. Seriously he can be anywhere within reason, so give me a case and hit me.]

[Action: Day 3]
[In which Haruki is throwing out his sheets/comforter and needs to go get new ones. Pity the bed's still too small for him, or nearly, but he doesn't want to change all that up.]

[Action: Day 4, 5]
[Jogging, lots of jogging. All around the village and the forest's edge. Sure it's cloudy on Day 4, but all that means is that it's less hot so it's not sweltering. As such, he is jogging shirtless on both days and generally enjoying this somewhat cooler and breezy later spring/early summer. And you should too.]

[Voice: Day 6]
[On and off storming all day, Haruki has decided to stay in. In the course of staying in, he's decided to start making more complete notes on how he wants to run that pageant idea. And in the course of doing that, he flips on the voice to ask something of the village-]

Oi, so who here would like to see some of their friends participate in a pageant? I know some of you do already and some of you did last time, but let's hear it.

[Action: Day 7, 8]
[Sort of expecting to be replaced by Haruhi today because these days make a week of weird effects. In spite of himself it makes him pensive, and as such he hangs out mostly around Ammy's Tree Hill today, looking at the tail end of the blooms there. He'll also be around the village later, of course.]

[Action: Day 9, 10]
[Aaaand then he wasn't replaced, which was perplexing. However, by this point he has seen and done a lot of weird things, so he's just trying to go about a normal day of hanging at the HQ, fully expecting something weird to bust into his life anyway. Might as well hang out and see what's what, so when he isn't in the HQ he's wandering around, maybe looking for something or someone interesting]

Shut up! This just became a date out of nowhere, okay!

[Going to get himself some of the tempura rice, and put it in one of the tray's lids as a "plate"]

So do you watch a lot of movies or what?

[ ashgkjs these are beautiful plates. Yuri watches that for a moment, then grabs one of the same and grabs some chicken and soba. ]

I don't know if I'd say a lot, but more back home than here. [Chopsticks and... bite. There should be more than one set there in the basket somewhere]

I guess there's not really a movie theater around here, is there? [ She looks thoughtful, but it seems as though she doesn't get any brilliant ideas from it (probably a good thing). Yuri starts digging through the basket to find the other set of chopsticks, but when she does she doesn't start eating immediately.

Oh, no, there are greater things to do with chopsticks on a date. Yuri's gaze locks on the two pieces of wood, then shoots a glance at Haruki. Picking up a piece of the chicken with the chopsticks, she holds it out to Haruki, averting her eyes with slight embarrassment. ]

[chew, chew, of course there's not any here, he waves a hand dismissively and then goes back to his chew---

...

What in the hell is she- she's holding out food for him? his eyes go wide and his face scarlet but. But he can't refuse this, right?! It'll be weaker tan her, if she's doing this?! Then...! Then he...! ...

Takes the bite]

[ So much blushing from all parties when he actually takes the bite. Yuri wans't even sure that he was actually going to do it, so her brain sort of froze when it happened. ]

[Chew... chew...

Swallow]

Do-- do you want more?

If... you're offering, I mean. Sure.

[ She's not going to back down. She gets a little bit more and holds it out again, slowly. Her hands are shaking though and it looks like she might spill. ]

[Wow he's flushed too but don't make a mess!! He looks at that incredulously before shooting a hand out to try to stablize hers and then goes to take the bite again]

[ Now they're holding hands during this. Yuri stares at him when he does that. She's not going to apologize for not holding things straight, though. :T Just need.. conversation. ]

So what kinds of things do you like to do?

[He should. Release his hands? Yeah, he should do that-]

Well, here I jog and figure out events and costumes, I guess.

Events and costumes? [ What. That threw Yuri for a loop. ]

[seriously what is he even saying? But he feels like as it's Haruhi's Brigade right now he can't say he's the Chief. And... that's messing him up.]

Back home I'd look for aliens and other extranormal stuff. Here that's easy to find.

Well yeah it's easy to find here. I'd rather focus on new things. Different species aren't really that weird. I guess that's why events would be more fun though. What about the costumes?

Different species are too interesting, when you find the right stuff. But costumes are a special art form.

Like how? Aren't they always discovering new species on earth too? Like new newts and crabs and stuff. [ She shrugs. That sounds familiar though. ] Someone I know was talking like that about maid outfits before.

But not other intelligent life! Aliens, ghosts, demons, all that sort of stuff.

Intelligence is kind of relative when you consider most intelligent life is composed of morons.

Not disagreeing! Ones with the ability to think and communicate.

I always thought things like chameleons and those glow-in-the-dark jellyfish are cooler.

I always thought things like the idea of sentient martians with glow in the dark natures were even cooler.

Why would Martians glow in the dark? Isn't Mars close enough to the sun?

Mars is further than Earth and has less atmosphere, they probably live underground.
